Does The Execution Date Change?

One of the four convicts in 2012 Delhi gang-rape case has challenged execution using his last legal resort in the Supreme Court known as the curative petition. The curative petition is expected to be heard by judges in their chambers and not in the open court. After the curative petition is dismissed, the convict will have an option to send a mercy plea to President.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a petition filed by one of the convicts, challenged the rejection of the mercy petition by the President. The judgement was pronounced by the Supreme Court bench comprising justices R Banumathi, Ashok Bhushan and AS Bopanna. The court said that the petition can't be filed on the grounds of torture in jail, all documents were placed before the president, he had taken them into consideration.
