Despite entering the T 20 World Cup tournament with an abundance of expectations, Men in Blue led by Virat Kohli has not started its journey auspiciously. India had played two matches so far and lost two matches making its entry into the semifinals a tough road. The chances of India going through the semis are very thin.

India is all set to face a crucial match on Wednesday against the wonder team Afghanistan, which has a high Net Run Rate. Winning against Afghanistan is not going to be an easy task seeing the performance of the team in the tournament so far. Having played three matches, Afghanistan won two matches and lost one match against Pakistan. The defeat should be seen as a moral win for Afghanistan.

Indian batsmen will face a big threat from the Afghan bowling attack led by Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman. Afghanistan's batting lineup is also looking strong. If the bowlers can manage to restrict Indian batsmen for a low score, then the Afghanistan batsmen will finish the rest of the job.

Pakistan and blackcaps New Zealand have cleverly opted to bowl first. As a winning strategy, the bowling attack of Pak and New Zealand has made sure that the Indian top-order will not get an upper hand. In both matches, India was restricted to low scores and the opponent team batsmen easily chased the low score. While India lost to Pakistan by 10 wickets, New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets.

Toss is the key in the match and if we can win the toss, we will have an upper hand in the match. Besides this, Indian batsmen and bowlers should bring their best to win the deciding match. As Afghanistan has a good Net Run Rate, India should win the match with a good margin to increase the semis chances.

Not getting the right team is also working against India. The team made a few changes in the batting order in the match against New Zealand, but it did not help us. Former players like Sunil Gavaskar and Sehwag had slammed the team for the changes.

India should win its next matches with a good margin and as with other criteria, New Zealand should lose at least one match in its next matches so that we can qualify.
