Tension gripped Andhra Pradesh with the alleged derogatory comments made by TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The comments had sent shocking waves across the state and the offices of the TDP party were reportedly attacked by YSRCP followers.

Amid high drama, police arrested Pattabhiram, popularly known as Pattabhi over the remarks row and produced him before the Vijayawada Third Additional Chief Metropolitan Court. The judge had ordered judicial remand for 14 days. He will be on remand till the 2nd of November.

After he was arrested in connection with the case, his lawyers had moved the court seeking bail. During the hearing, Pattabhi said that he didn't make any comments against the Chief Minister or any leader directly but he had highlighted the mistakes in the ruling.

Pattabhi told the judge that he was arrested by the cops without any prior notice and alleged that he was forced to sign the confession statements by the cops without the presence of any middlemen. However, the judge had ordered for his remand and he was shifted to Machilipatnam jail.
