TDP Wants To Checkmate Ambati Rambabu With Kanna?

Sattenapalle is a strong zone of the Telugu Desam Party no matter who is in power. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao played a big role in this as he won as the MLA from Sattenapalle for five terms. Even after the state bifurcation he won the elections and became the first Speaker of the divided Andhra Pradesh.
However, he could not win the 2019 elections. Later he took the extreme step. Since then the party became weak in the region. Though his son is taking part in party activities there, he was not given any position in the party and there is suspense on what the party wants to do with the region.
Amid this, former Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana was announced as the in-charge of the Sattenapalli constituency. Party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced this. Former Bharatiya Janata Party chief Kanna will be taking care of party activities in the region.
There is a talk that Kanna will also be the candidate for the elections from Sattenapalli. If this happens then this will be a big blow to Ambati Rambabu, the serving MLA from the region. Many say that the local leaders in the party are not happy with him as he is nonlocal. Ambati won the elections in Jagan's wave.
