In what it could be a shocker, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) lawmaker Nomula Narsimhaiah breathed his last undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad's Hyderaguda.

Nomula Narsimhaiah who represents the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency was shifted to Apollo hospital in Hyderabad during the early hours of Tuesday after he complained of chest pain.

Reports claimed that the 64-year-old suffered difficulty in breathing at 3 am on Tuesday, following which the MLA was moved to a private hospital from his residence in Old MLA Quarters.

Nomula Narsimhaiah was once a veteran communist leader. As a Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate, he won the Nakrekal MLA constituency for two terms. After the state was formed, he shifted his loyalty to TRS in 2014.

In the 2018 elections, he won the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency by defeating Congress leader and former Minister Kundur Jana Reddy by more than 7,000 votes.
