There are restrictions on the entry of people from other faiths to religious places of the Hindu faith. Though it turns controversial sometimes, the code is followed strictly. The code landed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) in trouble after a few staff members reportedly removed the stickers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Maharashtra vehicles.

The issue raised many eyebrows as one cannot understand why the stickers are prohibited as the celebrated King hails from the same religion and he fought for the survival of the Dharma.

After the issue went viral, the TTD kept itself busy doing the damage control. Earlier, the TTD said that what happened what a mistake, and the devotees coming from the state of Maharashtra will not face any issues.

As another big step from the TTD side, board Chairman YV Subba Reddy, Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy, and a few others met the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Devandra Fadnavis for the Bhoomi Puja of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.

The Chief Minister and his deputy are said to have agreed to the invitation as it is happening in their home state. With the top ladders showing interest in attending the event, many think that this could be the end of the controversy involving the celebrated King's stickers on Maharashtra vehicles.

Maharashtra is one of the major contributors to the temple in terms of visitors. As Marathi people believe that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited the holy shrines in Andhra Pradesh during his times, they visit the places and offer prayers.
