Controversial head of the Tablighi Jamaat, which accounts for most of the recent Corona cases, has cancelled the wedding of his daughter. The weddng was to take place on April 5 in New Delhi. Now, members of Tablighi Jamaat chief Moulana Saad Kandhalvi have informed that the wedding has been cancelled.

Moulana Saad, whose Tabligh meet in Delhi is now being held responsible for the latest spurt in Corona positive cases, is now under self-quarantine in an undisclosed destination. He has refused to cancel his Tabligh meet despite police requests and over 12000 people congregated at the Markaz in Nizamuddin. Many of the participants have been found to be carriers of Corona virus. After initially claiming that Corona does not affect the faithful, the Moulana has even issued an audio statement asking his followers to implement the lockdown and cooperate with the government in conducting the corona tests .

The Delhi police have registered cases against Moulana Saad for violating Section 144, which prohibited any congregation of above five people.
