Mangalagiri Constituency is drawing all the attention ahead of the 2019 Elections why because Nara Lokesh is contesting from here. Both YCP and Jana Sena took this seat as a matter of prestige. While YCP's Sitting MP Alla Ramakrishna Reddy is determined to defeat Chinna Babu, Jana Sena Chief changed his strategy in the last minute and decided to field his party candidate instead of allocating the seat for CPI.
Transgender Tamanna Simhadri aspired to be Jana Sena Candidate for Mangalagiri Constituency. She, however, decided to contest as Independent after being denied MLA Ticket. 'I wish to serve the society. Aspired for Jana Sena Ticket, but couldn't get it. So, I am contesting as an Independent. I wish to see transgenders contest in all the constituencies in 2019 Elections,' she told.
The target of Tamanna seems to be Nara Lokesh who took the risk of contesting from a segment which wasn't the strong hold of TDP. Tamanna's entry could lead to division of votes. This situation might eventually benefit the YCP Candidate as he is the Sitting MLA. Will Nara Lokesh regret taking such a decision?
