Tamil Director Sundarrajan Says Rajinikanth Can Never Be MGR
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Feb 2020 10:21 AM GMTPopular Actor-Director R Sundarrajan who had attended the celebrations of the 72nd birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu "Puratchi Thalaivi" Jayalalitha has made sensational comments on Superstar Rajinikanth entry to politics. He has come down on the DMK members too.
"Teachers were happy when a Anna, a teacher became Chief minister, but none of them wanted to become chief ministers, taking his route. But after MGR became chief minister, all actors without thinking of their qualifications want to become actors," he said.
The Director also spoke about drawing comparisons between Superstar Rajinikanth and MGR, who was a bigger star and often called a god by his fans. Mr. MGR is like late NT Rama Rao who became CM after enjoying a huge fan following and stardom in films.
"If Rajnikanth starts a political party and conducts first meeting in Coimbatore, before he reaches Tirupur itself he will pass away. Such is his body condition," Sundarrajan said.
"MGR has never killed his villains in movies, whereas all actors including Rajni, Vijay or Ajith have only punished their villains in the end. Even the role of a king has only suited MGR, and the getup looked awkward on Rajni, Vijay, Ajith and everyone, and how could they aspire for the throne he sat on?," he added.
