A teenage Tennis Player from Britain became a new sensation in sports by scripting history in the US Open women's final. By winning the title, the player emerged as the first player to win the title in the past four decades.

18-year-old Emma Raducanu recorded a historic win in the US Open women's final by defeating Canada's 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-3. This is the first-ever title won by Emma Raducanyu.

The teenage player also made history by becoming the only British player to win the US Open title after 1977. In 1977, Virginia became the first player to win the US title from Britain. The final that was played on Saturday had entered the history books by hosting the final between two unseeded tennis players.

With the historic win, Emma Raducanu joined the likes of veteran American Tennis Player Serena Williams. Both the players have won their US title in their teenage years. Emma and Serena were 17 and 18 respectively at the historic movement. After 1999, two teenage players fought for the US title on Saturday.

In the first set that lasted for 58 minutes, Canada’s Leylah Fernandez took the early lead making Emma Raducanu sweat hard for matching her opponent. After a lot of hard work, Emma won the first set.
