Telangana Government Faces Hammer Blow In High Court!

The alleged MLAs' poaching row created a sensation in Telangana politics. The political heat around the controversy became a debatable point in other states as well as BJP Organisational Secretary B.L. Santosh was named as one of the accused in the case and he was served notices. He got a big relief after moving the court.

The Telangana Government which is locking horns with the Bharatiya Janata Party has been trying its best to prove the saffron party guilty. Pouring water on the planning of the ruling BRS, the High Court earlier gave orders that the case should be given to the CBI for the probe.

Challenging the verdict, the ruling party moved the High Court and took the issue to the bench. On Monday, the bench of the High Court supported the verdict given by the single-judge bench and said that they will not interfere in the verdict. The bench also quashed the petitions filed by Pilot Rohith Reddy and others.

It is said that the lawyer who represented the Telangana Government requested the bench of the High Court to keep the orders on suspension as they will move the Supreme court. However, the bench is said to have denied the request.

The Telangana government wants a special team to investigate the matter to have control of the probe. However, the accused in the case said that CBI should probe the matter because the allegations are not small ones. No one knows why the Telangana government is opposing the CBI probe.

Political experts say that the ruling party might doubt that a Central agency probing the matter might not see a fair investigation as the Bharatiya Janata Party is in power at the Centre.

On the other hand, the Union Government led by the BJP is facing allegations that it is using the central agencies to settle the political scores with the opponents and that is the reason why the Enforcement Directorate(ED), IT, and Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) raids happen only at the office premises and the residences of leaders from the opposition parties and their relatives and family members. This might be another reason.

The alleged row hit the headlines before the Munugode by-elections. Ahead of the elections, a few TRS MLAs including Pilot Rohith Reddy said that they were given an offer by a few and informed the same to cops, and the accused were arrested.
