Keeping the forthcoming Huzurabad by-elections in mind, Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR has been showering schemes for the SCs, STs, and BCs. The Telangana government's flagship Dalit Bandhu comes on the same lines.
As another flagship scheme, the Telangana Government is said to have taken another decision to provide reservations for the BCs, SCs, and STs enabling them to start the liquor stalls in the state. The decision was taken yesterday reportedly.
Media reports say that the other day, the Telangana Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR met for a crucial meeting the other day. The sensational decision was taken during the meeting.
The alleged reservations would be provided for the castes based upon their castes. Gowdas that fall under the BCs would get a maximum reservation of 15 percent followed by SCs and STs with 10 and 5 percent respectively.
It is said that under the new scheme, as many as 2,216 liquor shops would be permitted by the government and the licenses would be issued. The licenses for the liquor shops would expire next month and upon this, the licenses for the shops would be issued soon.
