The accused in the Saidabad case was found dead on the railway track on Thursday morning. Though a few people were happy with what happened, doubts about the death of the accused were raised by a few activists. The activists have moved the Telangana High Court in this regard.
Amid this, Telangana DGP M. Mahender Reddy held a press meet on Friday to clear all the air on the death incident of Raju. The Top Cop said the accused lost his life due to the accident as he came under a running train.
The DGP said, the accused died of suicide and attributed the eye witnesses including Railway Trackmen who said they saw him before committing the suicide. The statements from the eyewitnesses were also recorded, he said.
The top cop added that fake and false news on the death was being speared and urged everyone to not believe such fake news. He also rubbished the allegations made by the family members of the accused who alleged that cops killed him.
The accused was found dead a day after the cops released a poster saying that those who give information about the accused will be given a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh. Along with the poster, pictures of the accused were also issued.
