The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) selection committee which announced Rohit Sharma less 32-member squad for the Aussies tour left many bamboozled with the selection.
The selection committee was at the receiving end after many former Indian cricketers, cricket analysts, and cricket fans lambasting the committee for not including the Star opener in the team.
Amid growing demand to issue clarity over the severity of Rohit Sharma's hamstring injury in his left leg, the Selection committee issued an important update on Rohit's place in the Aussies squad.
Media reports claimed that a panel of expert doctors will assess the fitness of Rohit Sharma on Sunday, i,e, tomorrow. If he recovers fully, he will be included in the squad.
Rohit Sharma, who leads the Mumbai Indians has developed a hamstring injury in his left leg during a match against Kings XI Punjab on October 18. During his absence, Kieron Pollard is leading the team.
Reportedly, the team will focus on the acceleration and deceleration process on Rohit Sharma. Upon which, a call will be taken on Rohit's place in the squad.
The Mumbai Indians is the first franchise in the season to qualify for the playoffs with 18 points. The blue army has won 9 out of the 13 matches in the tournament so far.
