Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has capped the limit of guests for the functions. However, many people are not following the rules, and floating the Covid-19 protocols.

With the rise in Covid-19, the Gurugram police commissioner KK Rao issued orders stating that the police can come to any marriage events, despite not being invited, and check whether the Covid-19 protocols are followed or not.

The order gives power to the cops to check the guests who attend the marriage functions and impose fines if the Covid-19 protocols were violated at the events.

Not only that, to check if Covid-19 protocols like following social distance and wearing mask were strictly followed or not, the police will video graph the wedding ceremonies.

The station house officer (SHO) will see that Covid-19 protocols are followed at the functions. If protocols are not followed, violators will be booked for their violations.

The Commissioner issued the order after the Covid-19 infections increased in Haryana. With 2,663 fresh infections on Monday, the state's caseload rose to 2,19,963.
