The United States Hits 5 Million New Infections

As the United States makes its way into opening up their economies, the supreme nation is seeing one of the worst global death rates from coronavirus. Now, the United States set a record for Covid-19 cases on August 8, with more than 5 million people infected.



With one out of every 66 residents infected, the United States leads the world in COVID-19 cases and has recorded more than 160,000 deaths, which is most by any other country and nearly a quarter of the world's total.

In the past 24 hours, 58,173 fresh positive cases were reported in the country and the experts predict that the US may hit 10 Million cases if the cases keep rising in the same way. Followed by America, Brazil and India are in the list of most Covid-19 cases in the world.
