The attacks on Hindu Temples in Andhra Pradesh took a political turn with the opposition parties not leaving any stone unturned to gain political mileage by blaming the ruling party for the attacks.

TDP and saffron party BJP are blaming the ruling YSRCP for the attacks and alleging that the government is behind these attacks.

The attacks gained the interest of the national media too with the much-awaited Tirupathi By-elections fast approaching. The election date for the polls is expected to be announced soon.

Amid growing controversy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took part in 'Go Pooja' at Narasaraopeta Municipal Stadium conducted by the TTD on Friday.

His participation in Go Pooja came at a time when the opposition parties are questioning the religious faith of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

CM Jagan wore traditional silk robes with a big bottu on his forehead for the Go Pooja ceremony conducted by the TRD across many temples on the occasion of the Kanuma festival.
