The Wait Is Over, Kanaka Durga And Benz Circle Flyovers In Vijayawada Inaugurated

Ending the waiting for Vijaywada people, the much-awaited Kanaka Durga and Benz Circle flyovers were inaugurated today finally. Given the prevailing situations, the inauguration event was held virtually.
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the two flyovers today.
Nitin Gadkari took part in the inaugural event from the national capital Delhi, while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the event from the Chief Minister Camp Office in Tadepalli.
After launching the much-awaited flyovers, Nitin Gadkari laid foundations for 61 projects worth around Rs 15,591 crore across the state with YS Jagan. The duo dedicated ten projects of out the 61 projects to the nation.
The 2.6 km long Kankadurga Flyover construction works were started back in 2015. The center has a share of Rs 355.8 crore and the state government has a share of Rs 146.2 crore. The project is worth Rs 502 crore
The Kanaka Durga and Benz Circle flyovers will be opened for traffic from Friday, i,e, today. These two flyovers will come in handy to end the traffic congestion in Vijayawada.
