This Diehard Congress Leader Is Set To Join BJP

She was a firebrand young woman leader in the Congress. She had once barged into the VVIP section in the AICC headquarters and sat very close to Rahul Gandhi, who was then Congress president. It was only after the whole programme was over that the security staff realised that she was an intruder. When the security staff tried to evict her, Rahul Gandhi dissuaded them. For a couple of days, she was on the headlines of every newspaper due to this. This lady leader who gave heartache to the VVIP security staff is now all set to bid a goodbye to the very party she was with all these days?

Any guess who the political leader is? She is a Hyderabadi and was city's mayor. Yes. You guessed it right Banda Karthika Reddy. She is now well on her way to join the BJP. If sources in the BJP are to be believed, she is already in talks with the BJP and is all set to contest from Habsiguda division for the GHMC. Banda Kartika Reddy was mayor for two-and-a-half years and shared the mayor's position with the MIM.

She is considered a follower of D Srinivas,the former PCC chief. Sources say DS has facilitated her entry into the BJP.
