This MLA wants to retire, but wants son to take his place

This four-time MLA from Nizamabad is looking to hang his boots now. He is thinking of not contesting the elections in 2023. He feels he has had enough and it's time to give others a chance. Noble thoughts, one would think. But, wait! This MLA has other plans up his sleeves.

MLA Bajireddy Govardhan has been around in Nizamabad district's politics for over 30 years. He began as a ZPTC member and later became an MLA. He has served as a legislator for as many as four times. All these years, he remained loyal to his masters – initially YSR and now KCR. He has great public contact and is available to his voters at all times. Even during Corona, he is quite actively involved in helping the people.

But now, he wants to retire from active politics. He wants to make his son Pramod Reddy the candidate for the next election. He is already projecting his son and Pramod is taking up several service activities in the constituency. He is also solving the issues in the absence of father. But will he get a ticket from TRS?
