As a result of the third wave impact on India, fresh cases are going up and many states are witnessing the spike in the single-day cases and Andhra Pradesh is no exception to it. The rise in the new infections made the Andhra Pradesh government take a key call on curbing the infections.

To stop the further transmission of the virus, the Andhra Pradesh government announced a night curfew in the state. The time frame for the night curfew will be between 11 PM and 5 AM. The announcement was made by the government today.

After chairing a key meeting with the concerned officials over the rise in the single-day infections, the government went for the night curfew move. With this, the religious places will also have to follow the Covid protocols.

The guidelines issued by the government say that the theatres and malls across the state have to operate with 50 percent occupancy until further notice. Besides this, wearing a facemask is compulsory in public places.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the concerned officials to focus on making sure that people follow the Covid protocols and wear the facemask when they step out of their houses.

Having directed the officials in this regard, Chief Minister YS Jagan said that those who violate the protocols should be slapped with a fine. The cap on invitees for the indoor and outdoor events was also fixed. For indoor events, only a maximum of 100 people will be allowed, while a cap of 200 members was fixed for the outdoor events.

Following the Covid protocols is a must for shopping malls, shops, and other establishments. The same goes for using public transport. When on the bus, the passengers were directed to wear a facemask, which is mandatory.

Keeping the situation in mind, CM Jagan urged the officials to have an eye on the medicine stock in the centers. The Chief Minister also asked the officials to set up a Covid center in every constituency and the center should be equipped with all the required facilities like testing pieces of equipment and other equipment.
