The vote counting for one of the battleground by-election, Nagarjuna Sagar in Telangana was started today. The elections polled in the by-election were counted in a total of 25 rounds
The ruling TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat, son of former TRS MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, who has been leading from round 1 emerged victoriously in the final result of the counting.
By crushing Congress candidate Jana Reddy, Nomula Bhagath has won the by-election with a majority of not less than 18, 449 votes.
Bhagat spoke to the media after the resounding win and thanked Chief Minister KCR for keeping trust in him. He had thanked the voters in the constituency for voting for him in the elections.
I would also remain indebted to the voters in the constituency for trusting me. My immediate focus would now be on developing the constituency and meeting the needs of the people, he said.
The saffron party BJP has failed to create an impact in the elections as the party was restricted to the third position in the elections.
