The leaders from regional parties join the national parties with a lot of hopes expecting better exposure. But they do realize that the way the national parties operate will be different from regional parties and they don't get much importance and space to progress. Of late, the MPs are donning the saffron shawl.

Though it is a benefit for the saffron party to invite such leaders as it can increase its MPs' count without any big effort, the way the MPs facing serious allegations of financial crimes is bringing criticism towards the saffron party that it is becoming a shelter for such MPs.

Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh Chintakunta Munuswamy Ramesh, aka CM Ramesh is one such MP who shifted his loyalties from his Telugu Desam Party to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is accused of joining the saffron party to be safe from the central agencies.

He is facing multiple allegations of financial mismanagement and a few cases were filed. The central agencies Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Income Tax department are probing the matters related to them.

It's been three years since CM Ramesh joined the saffron party. As his tenure is coming to an end, the chances of the BJP giving him the ticket are very less. The BJP has no strength at the ground level in Andhra Pradesh and we cannot expect the saffron party to give a ticket. Even if the party grants him a ticket, the anger people have towards the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state would make him lose the polls.

Amid this, it is said that CM Ramesh is making efforts to go back to the party which made nurtured him and helped him to become an MP not once but twice. It has been reported that CM Ramesh is in touch with Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu. With no hope from the saffron party on the ticket, CM Ramesh is believed to be showing interest in making a comeback to his old party TDP.

Seeing this from the Telugu Desam Party's point of view, the grand old party is in need of winning candidates and the leadership is busy picking such candidates. As CM Ramesh has won two consecutive elections as a Rajya Sabha member, the party might prefer him if everything goes well.
