University question paper calls patriots terrorists

Who is Bhagat Singh? Is he a revolutionary or terrorist? What about Chandrasekhar Azad - a revolutionary patriot or a terrorist bent on killing people? This debate is raging in Gwalior ever since the MP question paper of political philosophy course in Jiwaji University asked the students to reply to the following question: "Describe the activities of revolutionary terrorist. What is the difference between extremists and revolutionary terrorists?'
This question was seen by many as an insult to great patriots like Bhagat Singh and Azad. They strongly decried the portrayal of revolutionaries as terrorists. They even lodged complaint with the university authorities and demanded action against those who set the examination paper. The Opposition BJP too attacked the Government and the University authorities for the lapse. It said this was the Congress attitude towards the great freedom fighters who made supreme sacrifice for the liberation of the country from the foreign yoke. The Congress has always tried to demean the revolutionaries, the BJP said.
Vice-chancellor of the University Anita Shukla expressed regrets at the lapse and said that action will be taken against the professors who set the question paper.
