There is an unusual rush of VIPs at the residence of TRS working president KTR these days. Leaders within the party and outside and queuing up to call him on and even non-political biggies and celebrities are meeting him in a big way. To add to this, every TRS leader, who matters, is giving out statements claiming that he is best suited to be made the Chief Minister. Already Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Srinivas Goud and Puvvada Ajay have openly come out with statements claiming that KTR should be made the chief minister and that he is most suitable candidate for the post of the chief minister in Telangana.
Behind all this are the speculations that he would be made the chief minister sooner than later. Enough indications are dropped to show that he is all set to be anointed the next chief minister while peripatetic KCR will act as the patron-saint and guide for both the party as well as the government. On the New Years Day, there was a mad rush to greet KCR. Even ministers had to make an effort to enter into his chambers to greet him. At one stage, the police found it very difficult to control the crowd.
One minister is said to have got so exhausted while trying to meet and greet KTR that he had to be shifted to a neighbouring room to relax for some time and recupe. Everyone is trying to be in KTR's good books so that their positions would remain safe once the transfer of power takes place.
