The row over Hindi as the national language is not over yet as at regular intervals big personalities from the southern states are hitting back at the opinion. The states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are strongly opposing the opinion and showing their resistance on this issue.

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan joined the list and said that it is his responsibility to say that Tamil will prosper as it is his mother tongue. His comments came in the wake of everyone talking about Hindi as the national language and the leaders are strongly pushing for it.

Saying that he is not against the Hindi language, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan said that if it's a matter of Tamil Language then he will not shy away from standing against the Hindi language. Kamal Haasan urged everyone to not leave their mother tongue.

Kamal Haasan is aiming his gun at the Hindi national language row from the shoulders of the mother tongue. Saying that mother tongue is very crucial for everyone, Kamal Haasan said no one should forget their mother tongue. I am not against any language, but mother language should not be forgotten, he maintained.

Tamil Nadu has been against Hindi imposition. No matter who is the Chief Minister, the same has been followed. The leaders and people take so much pride in their language and they will not accept Hindi as the national language. Tamil Nadu does not comprise its interests. We have seen that when the Cinematography act amendments were proposed.
