The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is going through a tough face in Uttar Pradesh with the alleged road mishap that took place at Lakhimpur Kheri that had resulted in a few farmers breathing their last. The party has been facing severe criticism over the incident.

To make the situation even more worse for the BJP, a state Cabinet Minister and his son gave a big blow to the party and joined the Congress party.AICC Secretary was present when the father-son duo donned the Congress party shawl after leaving the BJP.

This shocking incident took place in Uttarakhand. The state Transport Minister Yashpal Arya and his son Sanjiv Arya shifted their loyalties to the Congress party. AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal welcomed them to the par

After returning to his old party Congress, Yashpal Arya called the grand-old party Congress a temple and credited Rahul Gandhi for creating an opportunity for him to join the party where he belongs. Yashpal has been a Congressman. Having represented the Congress party as MLA and serving as the State chief of Congress for Uttarakhand, he had parted ways with the party and joined the BJP in 2017.

The news would surely worry the BJP as Uttarakhand will go for the General elections in a few months. This comes as a new addition to the difficulties faced by the BJP in the political crisis it has been facing in the state since 2017.

The happiness of coming to power in Uttarakhand in 2017 did not last too long for the saffron party. Even after changing three Chief Ministers in four years, the crisis did not come to end. This shows how problematic the situation is in the state.

As the biggest nightmare for the BJP, media reports say that some more leaders of the party might join Yashpal Arya in leaving the party. This could be a troublesome situation for the BJP party as far as the general elections are concerned.

This is a wake-up call for the party that if the situation is not addressed then no one can save the party and even more disastrous situations might prevail.
