The first phase of the massive vaccination drive against the Coronavirus across the nation will be started from January 16. The required arrangements were made by the concerned authorities.

To ease the vaccination drive, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is said to have requested the electoral roll data so that the age group of the targeted beneficiaries can be identified easily.

As per the media reports, the Election Commission (EC) gave a positive response to MHA's request and gave its nod to share the electoral roll data to conduct the vaccine drive with ease.

As per the vaccine schedule, after the Corona warriors, people above the age of 60 followed by the age of under 60 will be vaccinated across the nation.

To easily identify the beneficiaries the MHA sought the details to which EC reportedly agreed.

It has been widely reported that the Election Commission is preparing the list of voters above the age group of 50 in every polling station. The list is expected to reach MHA by the end of today.

It has to be noted that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is playing a big role in the vaccination drive. The Ministry joined hands with other departments and coordinating as well.
