BJP Leadership planned to carry the ashes of Atal Bihari Vajpayee across the nation and immerse it in 100 rivers. A Family Member of the former PM criticized Modi & Co for not even sparing the ashes for political gains.
Vajpayee's Niece Karuna Shukla accused BJP of policising the death of the great leader for improving poll prospects. 'They are doing this for upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls. I am upset and saddened,' she told.
Karuna Shukla questioned why didn't Modi & Co. think about Vajpayee in the past four-and-a-half years. She told public are well aware of the kind of politics BJP has been indulging for power.
BJP defends taking ashes of Vajpayee across the country by saying it happened in the case of Nehru and Indira as well. The National Party alleges Karuna Shukla is with the Congress and hence she is making such allegations.
