Varla Ramaiah Resigned As RTC Chairman

RTC Chairman Varla Ramaiah resigned to his post, sent a resignation letter to the Principle Secretary of Transportation on Saturday. As per RTC norms, the term of Chairman is only for one year. Varla Ramaiah's term ended on April 24, 2019, but he did not resign.
The Chief Secretary of Transport and RTC MD Krishna Babu issued a notice, as per the sub-clause 2 of Section 8 of the APSRTC Act 1950. The notice period was one month. After one month of the notice period, Varala Ramaiah resigned as Chairman of RTC.
