Vice President Venkaiah Naidu Praises AP Govt For Disha Bill

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu congratulated AP government for passing the AP Disha act. Venkaiah Naidu took to twitter and posted "Happy to note that Andhra Pradesh Assembly has unanimously passed AP Disha Act to speed up investigations and trial of sexual offences against women. If implemented well, the Act can render timely justice to rape victims which is the need of hour. I compliment the AP Government."

Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Friday passed the Andhra Pradesh Disha Bill 2019 (Andhra Pradesh Criminal Law Amendment Act 2019) to award death sentences to convicts in rape cases within 21 days.
