Virat Kohli adds a worst record to his name in ODIs 350 words

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is a big name not only in Indian cricket but in world cricket.



In a glorious career that has been lasting over a decade  Virat Kohli established himself as a Run Machine and chase master.While chasing a target Virat Kohli had produced some of the best knocks.

Critics and former players see Virat Kohli as one of the best players in world cricket among contemporary players.

Virat Kohli had stepped on South African soil with many expectations. However he could not match the expectations and the long wait to see Virat Kohli scoring a ton continues. Forget about reaching the three figure-mark Virat Kohli added an unwanted record to his name in the ODI series against South Africa.

In the second ODI against South Africa on Friday Virat Kohli lost his wicket without even bothering the scoreboard. Having faced five balls Virat Kohli got out for a duck.

This made Virat Kohli make a record of 14 ducks in the ODI format by an Indian player.

With this Virat Kohli surpassed the likes of Rahul Dravid and Kapil Dev who recorded 13 ducks. Virat now has the fourth-highest duck-outs with 14 ducks.

He jointly shares the record with Suresh Raina, Sehwag, and Zaheer Khan.

Sachin Tendulkar recorded the highest number of ducks for an Indian player with 20 ducks.

Virat Kohli stepped on the ground when the Indian team lost the wicket of Dhawan. When everyone expected Kohli to produce a good knock he lost his wicket to Maharaj in the form of an easy catch.

Talking about the series India lost the ODI series with one match remaining by 2-0. Be it batting or bowling South Africa overpowered India to win the Test series and ODI series as well. Indian fans are hoping that Men in Blue will win the remaining match to avoid a whitewash.

Virat Kohli now has 14 ducks in the ODI format and the Test format as well. Compared to the two formats, Virat Kohli has a better record in the short format as far as the duck-outs are concerned. Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck in T20 just three times.
