Indian Captain Virat Kohli reached another milestone, completing 11k runs as a captain, as India took on Sri Lanka on the final and the Third T20I on Friday.
Kohli just needed one run to reach the milestone of 11,000 runs, he reached the landmark in the 13th over of India's innings. Virat Kohli becomes the second captain after MS Dhoni to complete 11,000 runs across formats.
Virat Kohli took just 169 innings to reach the milestone, followed by Ricky Ponting took 252 innings, Graeme Smith took 264 innings, Allen Border took 316 innings, Mahendra Singh Dhoni took 324 innings to complete the milestone.
Virat Kohli is the sixth captain to achieve the feet. Kohli is also the fastest batsman to reach 11,000 runs in the ODI cricket.
India beat Sri Lanka in the third T20I by 78 runs and won the 3 match series with 2-0. KL Rahul scored 54 runs, Shikhar Dhawan scored 52 runs, Manish Pandey smashed 31 runs in 18 balls, India set a big total of 201 for 6 in 20 overs. Sri Lanka could not defend the big total, it wrapped itâ€™s innings in 15.5 overs scoring 123 runs. Indian pacers Navdeep Saini took 3 wickets, Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets.
