The AP Cabinet has approved the recommendations of the High-power committee which was constituted to examine the reports submitted by GN Rao and BCG Committees and declared Vishapatnamas the executive capital of the state.
With this, the Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, and Heads of Department (HoD) offices will be shifted to the shore city as soon as possible.
Amaravati will be the Legislative capital and the Assembly sessions will be held there. While Kurnool will be the Judiciary capital and the High Court will be in the city.
It has been widely reported that a super collector was appointed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to oversee the development of the regions in the state. Many key decisions were taken at the meeting reportedly.
