We Request Modi To Not Take Oscars Credit: Congress!

SS Rajamouli's visual wonder RRR made India proud on the international stage. At the Oscars, the Pan-India film won the prestigious Oscars for Naatu Naatu song. RRR has been a strong contender for the award and the film reached expectations. Under the 'Original Song' category, RRR won the Oscars.

RRR's Oscars win started celebrations. From film celebrities to politicians to movie lovers everyone celebrated the win. As an unexpected turn the Oscars win took a political route with the opposition Congress taking a dig at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

The serving national president of the Congress party Mallikarjun Kharge spoke about the Oscars in the Parliament and said that it is a big moment for the country and RRR and Elephant Whisperers are the contribution of the country.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that he has one request for the PM to not take credit if the Oscars. His comments created a laughter riot in the Parliament house.

Saying that the two awards are the contribution of India, Kharge said that he requests the Bharatiya Janata Party to not say that the party has directed the films and had written the poem and Modi directed the film. His comments started a burst of laughter in the house.

"Oscar winning 'RRR' and The Elephant Whisperes' are India's contributions to the world. We request Modi ji not to take the credit for their win.:Congress President and LoP in Rajya Sabha Shri @kharge," Congress said on Twitter sharing the video.
