Things are not going well in the Indian cricket team. Ahead of the T 20 World Cup, Virat Kohi announced that he would leave the T20 captaincy after the tournament. Sadly, India had to quit the tournament after losing the first two games due to fewer points and net run rate.

Virat Kohli left the T20 captaincy and was sacked as the ODI captain. As a development that no one expected, Virat Kohli had left the captaincy post in the Test format as well. This called an end to the Virat era in Indian cricket.

Virat Kohli who took over the Test captaincy from Mahendra Singh Dhoni took Indian cricket to new heights and made winning test series overseas a habit for the team. He is the best skipper ever to lead the Indian team.

But the way Virat Kohli announced the decision to leave the Test captaincy had raised many questions in the minds of fans. Was it his personal decision or is there anyone behind the sensational development, is the question everyone has.

The issue raised a finger at the cricket governing body of India Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) that it was the board that created a situation to make Virat Kohli take the decision. It has to be mentioned that Virat Kohli lost his ODI captaincy before the Men in Blue left for South Africa for a Test series and ODI series.

Adding fuel to this, veteran Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said that he is not surprised with the decision taken by Virat Kohli in the matter. He even said that the BCCI and the officials won't take overseas defeats lightly.

Not stopping there, Sunil Gavaskar had highlighted how India had high chances of winning the Test series after India won the first test comfortably by winning the South African fortress Centurion.

However, it is also said that the way Virat Kohli expressed his displeasure over the DRS controversy in the third Test match against South Africa might also be a reason behind Virat Kohli taking the tough decision. Like the Kohli ODI saga, no one knows what went through Virat's Test captaincy issue.
