When TDP Used Rs 4 Crore TTD Funds For A Political Meet....!!!

While many are staunch opponents to the TTD's proposal to sell of unviable assets, there is one thing that they are forgetting. The proposal to sell of these lands came up during the TDP rule. It is the TDP, which is making a hue and cry about the issue. But, it was the TDP which first mooted this idea.
But, there is something that no one seems to remember. During Chandrababu Naidu regime, the TDP suddenly developed animosity towards the BJP. It began criticising the BJP day in and day out on the special status issue. As part of the anti-BJP tirade, the TDP organised a Dharma Porata Deeksha in Delhi. The whole cost of this Dharma Porata Deeksha was borne by the TTD. A whopping Rs 4 crore was spent from the TTD funds for the TDP programme. The VIPs were lodged in five star hotels, they were provided with all kinds of amenities. The transport costs were taken care of. All this by spending the TTD money. Later, the Vigilence Wing highlighted this and castigated the TDP government for using the TTD money.
Interestingly, all those who are talking about TTD trying to sell off the lands, are silent on this gross misuse of the money given by the devotees for political purposes. Where were all the Bhakts, who are now crying hoarse? While we have no sympathy for the Jagan Government's proposal, let it be said that silence on the TDP misuse of funds too is equally unpardonable.
