When will the TRS announce its state committee? Now that the MLC posts are filled and the local body constituency MLC elections are a mere formality, the focus is on the constitution of the state committee? There is an intense debate on who will be in and who will be out?
A series of meetings were held in the Telangana Bhavan recently. So, many leaders expected that the district units would be announced by September or October first week. However, the recent bypolls to Huzurabad and the MLC elections have delayed the whole process. The expectation is that the state committee would be announced by December first week.
There are a lot of aspirants for the posts in the state committee. The top brass is said to be working overtime to finalise the list. Sources say that several leaders, who were denied MLC tickets, could be accommodated in the state committee. A screening process is said to have been readied up.
Sources say that those who have not yet been given any nominated post are also aspiring for the post. They feel that they would get some respectability if they land in some nominated posts So, the competition is intense. It remains to be seen how the high command strikes a balance and chooses the right people for the right positions.
