Where Jagan Stands Among CMs In Terms Of Assets?

Everyone knows YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the position he is in now. He is serving as the Chief Minister of the divided Andhra Pradesh. But only a few know that YS Jagan was a successful businessman in the past. His business empire spread over cement, infrastructure, and others. After he ventured into politics, his opponents have been targeting him for alleged wrongdoings.
As YS Jagan was a Businessman earlier he is a wealthy person. This was proved yet again. The Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) which bats for reforms in elections released a report on the assets and wealth of the Chief Ministers in the nation.
The report said that 29 Chief Ministers in the nation are crorepatis. The only Chief Minister with less wealth, Mamata Banerjee. She is the Chief Minister of West Bengal and has no heirs. So she has assets just worth Rs Rs 15 lakh.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is the richest CM in the country with assets worth 510 crores. Arunachal Pradesh’s Pema Khandu (over Rs 163 crore) and Odisha’s Naveen Patnaik (over Rs 63 crore) are in the next positions on the list.
On the other hand, Mamata is the poorest CM with assets of Rs 15 lakh. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal who have assets over Rs 1 crore are in the next positions. While Jagan topped the list in terms of assets, his TS counterpart is at the top position in liabilities that stand at around Rs 8 crore. He has assets of around Rs 23.55 crore worth.
