Why Bandaru Dattatreya is upset with G Kishan Reddy?

The Central Government's Telangana formation day celebrations have created a rift between two prominent BJP leaders. One of them is Haryana governor Bandaru Dattatreya, while the other is union minister for tourism and Secunderabad MP G Kishan Reddy. Usually reticent and affable Bandaru Dattatreya openly expressed his displeasure at not being invited to the Central Government's celebrations at the Golconda fort.
Dattatreya expressed anger saying that the officials and the minister knew that he was in Hyderabad on the Telangana state formation day. Yet, there was no invite to the Central Government's programme, Dattatrea said. He said that this was a clear breach of protocol. However, there was no comment from minister kishan Reddy.
Dattatreya chatted with some mediapersons on Friday. During the chitchat he said that the Central Government officials, including minister Kishan Reddy, had failed to invite him to the programme. He said he too had played no mean part in the Telangana agitation and felt that he should have been extended the protocol.
Interestingly, Bandaru is trying to promote his daughter Vijayalakshmi in politics and is planning to make her contest from Amberpet assembly constituency in the elections to be held later this year. Kishan Reddy, who till recently represented the constituency, wants to ensure that his wife Kavya is made the party candidate. Sources say this rivalry could be at the root of not inviting Bandaru Dattatreya.
