Why Did KCR Hold That 4-Hour-Long Meet?

What forced a rethink on part of KCR on the issue of RTC strike? On Wednesday, KCR suddenly held a long meeting that went on for over four hours. This is so unusual of KCR as he would dismiss such meetings in half-hour or so. But, this one went on for over four hours and he is going to convene another meeting on the RTC on Thursday. Hence political sources are abuzz debating as to why KCR is holding so many meetings.
One reason could be the High Court's directive. Unlike what was initially portrayed by the pro-TRS media, the High Court order has actually gone against the government. The court has asked the Government to appoint a managing director to the TSRTC. Secondly, it directed the RTC to play the salaries for the month of September immediately.. thirdly, it wanted the government to hold talks with the RTC to end the strike quickly.
Another reason could be Governor Tamilisai Saundararajan's hasty visit to Delhi to explain about the situation arising out of the RTC strike. There have been media reports that the Centre could even think of stepping in. This may have unnerved KCR. Also, the people are already vexed with the Government's handling of the strike. More importantly, there is a looming threat of various other government departments joining the strike. This would snowball into a major issue. Hence, KCR appears to have melted a bit and has begun exploring ways and means to end the impasse.
