Why Did This Channel Expose Minister's Sexcapades?

Friday saw the shocking expose of a minister of KCR cabinet's sexcapades. It exposed how he was eyeing a starlet and how he used a girl he knows intimately to entice the starlet. The whatsapp chat details of the minister with the girl in question have been shown on screen. This created quite a buzz.
Shockingly, the expose was aired in a TV channel considered close to the ruling establishment. This channel is known to be pro-Government. And more interestingly, there was no clarification from any minister. However, this minister from North Telangana had hit back by cutting off the cable networks of the channel. Yet, there's silence on all fronts – neither the channel is following it up with another expose on the minister nor the minister in question is uttering a word against the channel.
Political pundits say the whole affair seems to be a well-planted and well-planned one. Slowly but surely, the minister would be edged out of the cabinet, say well-placed sources. He would be replaced by none other than Kavitha Kalwakuntla herself, says the rumour mill. But, why discredit a minister when there are better ways to induct CM's daughter into the cabinet? And why this expose at a time when there is a key bypoll in the state?
