The birthdays and other events related to politicians are big events as the party workers and cadre make massive arrangements for the events. The party leaders sometimes gather people for the events as well. As a new trend, the government officers are also showing their Swami Bhakti with such events.
Recently, a Municipal Commissioner stunned everyone by serving show cause notices to employees who did not show up at the birthday event of the IT Minister of Telangana KTR. The pictures of the show cause notice took social media by a storm and the commissioner was removed from the post.
Now a similar issue popped up after Narsampet Municipal Commissioner stunned everyone by asking the employees in the body to attend the birthday event of Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy. The Commissioner even sent a circular to the employees asking them to be present at the celebrations.
Needless to say, the recent circular took everyone by surprise as one wonders what the municipal employees have to do with the birthday event of MLA. The ruling party legislator reacted swiftly to the circular and said that such behavior will not be entertained.
Both incidents raise doubt on why the government employees are being dragged into political events and birthday events of legislators. Though the employees work under the government, there is no need that they should take part in such events.
