Why Revanth Reddy Has Not Held Even A Single Programme In Nalgonda?

Revanth Reddy may be the TPCC chief but there are at least two districts where his does not run. Interestingly, the Congress is quite strong in these two districts. But, these two districts have not organised even a single programme for Revanth Reddy. Revanth has not toured these districts so far. The two districts in question are – Khammam and Nalgonda.
The Congress performed well in both the districts. In Nalgonda, the Congress won both the MP seats, while the Congress had won most MLAs in Khammam pushing the TRS to the second position. Though there are one or two programmes in Khammam, Nalgonda district is still a 'NO Go" area for the PCC chief.
In Nalgonda, there are four key leaders – former PCC chief Uttam Kumar Redd, former minister Jana Reddy, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. There is total non-cooperation from these four major leaders. Venkat Reddy, who too vied for the PCC chief's post, has reconciled as yet. He is till angry with Revanth. Not only he is not active in the party works, but also he is preventing major meetings from being held in Nalgonda. In fact, he has not allowed the Dalit Girijan Dandora rally of the party in Nalgonda. At the same time, there is n love lost between Uttam Kumar Reddy and Revanth Reddy. Uttam was unhappy at the way Revanth Reddy sabotaged his wife's election in Huzurnagar.
Though Revanth has cordial relations with former minister Jana Reddy, but with Jana Reddy completely inactive after the recent poll debacle in Nagarjunasagar, Revanth is unable to plan any programme in Nagarjunasagar. Also, a senior leader reportedly opposed holding of any programme in Nagarjunasagar region.
As a result, even months after he took over as the PCC chief, Revanth Reddy is unable to visit Congress Party's most powerful citade. Opposition to his visit from various quarters has made him go silent for now in the district. How he manages to bring these reticent leaders around remains to be seen.
