One man whose fortunes are soaring sky high these days in the Congress party is a guy called Rohan Gupta. Now, one would ask who is Rohan Gupta. Rohan is the social media chief of the Congress Party.
This man is all set to become the next Prashant Kishore. He has managed the social media campaign of the Congress party in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. The Congress fared creditably in these states and since then, Rohan Gupta's stock went up in the party. What more? He has also convinced the Congress leaders to use video conferencing facility to talk to the leaders across the country. Interestingly Rahul Gandhi always rooted for this and could not achieve it. Rohan is now incharge of the social media, data analysis, media and communication departments.
An indication of his growing influence can be gauged from the fact that he was the only non WCW member who attended the April 2 meeting of the Congress Working Committee. Another interesting aspect is that both Rahul and Priyanka Vadra like his work and back him to the hilt.
