Why are otherwise active MLAs keeping away from Jagans flagship programme?

A strange thing is happening in the YSRCP. The MLAs and ministers, who are otherwise quite active in their respective assembly constituencies, are not so involved in the prestigious "Gadapa Gadapaku" programme of the party. Several MLAs, who stay away from their constituencies in the name of business and travel, are seen to be quite active in the programme.

The programme has been going on for the last six months. As many as 20 MLAs have not participated in the programme even for 10 days. Ministers like Dadisetti Raja, Pinipe Viswaroop, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, RK Roja and Buggana Rajendranath are always in touch with the voters and the cadres of their respective constituencies. But, they are playing truant when it comes to the Gadapa Gadapaku programme.

Ditto with senior MLAs Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Adeep Raj, Koramutla Srinivasulu, Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy and Grandhi Srinivas. These MLAs are very active in their constituencies. But, even these MLAs are not being seen in the Gadapa Gadapaku programme. Significantly, YS Jagan himself has pointed this out during a recent briefing. He is said to have asked them to play a more active role in the Gadapa Gadapaku campaign.

Ironically, MLAs who are otherwise accused of being inaccessible to the voters of their constituency are said to be quite active in the campaign. They are spending a lot of time reaching out to the voters. An MLA from Rayalaseema, who rarely visits the constituency and spend time in Bengaluru in the name of his businesses, is also said to be actively involved in the Gadapa Gadapaki programme.
