Why are there no celebrations on YSRCP governments formation day?
X
The YSRCP government has completed two years. The rank and file of the party has made hectic preparations to celebrate the event on an unprecedented scale. The whole party machinery was geared up for the occasion. After all, why shouldn't they celebrate? The party did exceedingly well in the two bypolls held after coming to power. It has also won the local body polls and panchayat polls with an unassailable majority.

But there are no celebrations anywhere in the state. The reason? There is no nod from CM's political advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. All the leaders from various districts have sent proposals to Sajjala. Sajjala told them that he would get back to them after meeting YS Jagan. It's been one week, but there is no response from Sajjala.

Sources say that YS Jagan has indicated that it would not be wise to hold celebrations at a time when at least four to five districts are reeling under the devastating impact of unprecedented floods. Jagan is said to have felt that this would prove counter-productive. Also, there are serious questions about the financial management of the state's exchequer.

Sources said that Jagan felt that holding celebrations at this state would invite criticism. So, has decided to go slow on the celebrations in the state. Hence Sajjala did not get back to the local leaders.
