Almost a year after the TDP was swept off its feet in a YSRCP tsunami and suffered a humiliating defeat, the party cadre are still worried that no sincere post-mortem has been conducted in the party. They are sore that no proper assessment has been done within the party. Many feel that the real causes of the defeat have not been addressed so far.
Many party workers feel that Chandrababu Naidu's Man Friday and party office incharge Vattikuti Veera Venkanna Chowdary is primarily responsible for ill-treating sincere and hardworking party cadres. Whosoever went to the party office in Amaravati with some request came back only with nightmarish experiences. Not only Chowdary, who has earned the sobriquet of Pedda Chowdary, alleged treated them like dirt, he was also highly inaccessible. The treatment was particularly worse for those belonging to the SC, ST and BCgroups. This has put off many workers, who vowed never to return to the party office again.
TDP sources say that the anger against Pedda Chowdary is piling up and many are now demanding that Chandrababu replace him immediately. They feel that the 'holier than thou' attitude of this man is alienating party workers.
