Why has KVP suddenly become active in Telangana?

Why has KVP Ramachandra Rao, who for long been dormant, suddenly become active in Telangana politics? Why did he attend the meeting of Congress seniors and dissidents in TPCC Programme Implementation Committee chairperson Yeleti Maheshwar Reddy? On whose behalf is he working currently?
These are the questions that are being asked ever since KVP became suddenly active in Telangana. He met several Congressmen at Yeleti's house and later attended a dinner meeting in senior leader Jana Reddy's house. He held discussions with Jana Reddy, Madhu Yashki, VH, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar and others.
There are unconfirmed reports that he had come to mediate with the Congress leaders on behalf of Telangana CM KCR. KVP shares cordial relations with KCR and several other leaders of the TRS inner circle. Interestingly, post these meetings, the seniors have raised their voice against the hoisting of a separate flag and installing a new statue of Telangana Talli that is different from the one that the TRS is promising. The TPCC had to defer hoisting a separate flag and had to go ahead with hoisting of the national flag.
Interestingly, the Congress has also maintained a studious silence over the Enforcement Directorate raids on Kavitha Kalwakuntla in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. The buzz is that KVP has ensured that the Congress does not make this and Hyderabad liberation an issue and embarrass the TRS government further.
