Will Kcr's 'Attack-Etela' Strategy Help Padi Kaushik Reddy?

Telangana Chief Minister KCR seems bent on reducing the importance of his arch rival Eatala Rajender. Though Eatala has registered a handsome win, KCR wants to ensure that there is a counterweight to him in Huzurabad.
Part of the plan to reduce Eatala's importance is to prop up BJP state president Bandi Sanjay. Sources say that KCR's repeated attack on Bandi Sanjay is aimed at increasing the latter's stature. If Bandi Sanjay's statue is raised in the BJP, the statue of Eatala will come down automatically, so goes the argument. It is with this end in view that KCR is attacking Bandi. Interestingly, he has never personally attacked any rival so far in his political career. He never spoke of Chandrababu on YSR or Eatala. Yet, he personally attacked Bandi Sanjay.
The second strategy is to create a counterweight in Huzurabad. As per this plan, he is reportedly making Padi Kaushik Reddy an MLC. Not just that Reddy could even be made a minister in the latest reshuffle. If that happens, he would be a major power centre in Huzurabad. Padi Kaushik Reddy contested against Eatala In 2018 and got handsome votes. Even in the latest bypoll, he worked hard against Eatala.
The real beneficiary in this whole game would be Kaushik Reddy. If this plan works out, he would not only become an MLC, but also a minister in KCR's cabinet. Let’s wait and see how things unfold.
